Register for Wellington

There are three ways of using our cemetery. The common feature is that we require you, before or after death, to register with us.

Our registration fee covers a personalised engraved wooden plot marker, our adminstration of the burial, and the work of our not-for-profit organisation.over-seeing the cemetery.

2. Book at time of death through a funeral director (fee paid through funeral director)

3. Family / Friend books directly at time of death (call 0800 525 500 / fee paid direct)

1. Register in advance

Pre-register for $199 and in addition, you will recieve our living wishes pack.

This covers our burial registration fee, which includes the engraved grave marker and site administration costs, and our living will wish pack.

At the time of death, call 0800 525 500. We will take care of the plot preparations for you and help enlist the services of a trusted local funeral director. The funeral director will organise payment of the Wellington City Council plot fee ($2600). The funeral director will charge their own fees to you separately.

Don't forget that you will need to use our certified natural caskets (order through us or your funeral director).

Register by mail: Use this order form (click here - Order form.pdf) or mail us your contact details (name, address, phone, email), with a cheque or mail order for NZ$175.00 (inc GST). 2. Booking through a funeral director.

Notify your funeral director that you want to be buried at the Natural Cemetery. They will advise us of your plot booking, organise your payment of our registration fee ($199 inc gst), organise a casket from us, organise your payment of the Wellington City council fee ($2600), and conduct all their usual services for you..

3. Self-managed.

Call 0800 525 500. We will register the deceased and plot. The cost will be $199.00 (inc gst). You will need to pay the Wellington City Council plot fee ( $2600). This will include a choice of native tree.

Advise us if you need a funeral director or other assistance. We will enlist for you the services of a funeral director that we trust. They will contact you immediately. Please note that they will invoice you directly for their services. Natural Burials does not provide funeral services.

Order a natural casket. Don't forget that you will need our certified natural caskets (order through us or your funeral director).
